Područje Nacionalnog parka „Krka“ obiluje raznolikim šumskim zajednicama, od mediteranske vegetacije do šuma submediteranskog područja. Na blagim padinama i zaravnima može se pronaći šuma hrasta medunca i bijelog graba, u kojoj se hrast medunac, bijeli grab, crni jasen, maklen i oskoruša ističu kao karakteristične vrste. Posebno vrijedna šuma nalazi se na lokalitetu Stinice.

Između zimzelene i listopadne vegetacije prostire se šuma hrasta crnike i crnog jasena. Hrast crnika, crni jasen, planika, veliki vrijes, hrast medunac i bijeli grab zajedno tvore slikovite sastojine na lokacijama Mačkovica i Obla glava.

Na području kanjona Krke i sjeverno od Roškog slapa šuma hrasta medunca i crnog graba pokazuje raznolikost zahvaljujući prisutnosti crnog jasena, javora gluhača, maklena, brekinje i mukinje.

U riječnim dolinama dominiraju poplavne i vlažne šume s poljskim jasenom, crnom johom, nizinskim brijestom, sivom vrbom i trušljikom.

Što se tiče četinjača, alepski bor i crni bor prevladavaju u različitim dijelovima Parka. Alepski bor širi se na sjeveru duž kanjona, pokrivajući strme padine i opožarene površine.

Ekološka mreža Nacionalnog parka „Krka“ obuhvaća različite stanišne tipove, uključujući poplavne miješane šume, vazdazelene šume hrasta crnike i mediteranske makije s dominantnim borovicama. To bogatstvo prirodnih zajednica čini Park iznimno važnim područjem, zanimljivim za istraživanje i izazovnim za očuvanje.
