Park rules
We kindly ask that you abide by these written rules and the warnings of official persons, out of our mutual interest.
In Krka National Park, it is not allowed:
- To swimm, outside of clearly marked swimming areas
- To dive or fish using a spear gun/harpoon, to recreationally fish, to hunt, catch, frighten or disturb wild game or other animal species
- To pick or damage indigenous plants, to break or damage tufa
- To travel by motor vehicle along roads on which travel is forbidden or limited without approval
- To camp
- To light fires outside of clearly marked areas
- To dispose of waste and to pollute springs and watercourses
- To move along tufa barriers outside the clearly marked trails
- To walk outside the marked walking trails and outside the marked visitor areas in a strict reserve, special reserve and national park, with the exception of performing research for which a permit has been issued (Nature Protection Act, Article 139).
- Photographing/filming for commercial purposes without approval
- Use drones or other unmanned aerial vehicles
- To damage, touch, or remove remains of cultural and historical monuments and elements of traditional architecture, such as dry stone walls
Additional remarks:
- Na mjestima koja su određena kao službeni ulazi, posjetitelji mogu ući samo za vrijeme radnog vremena Parka.
- Dogs are permitted in the Park when accompanied by their owners. They must be on a leash at all times. Dogs are not permitted on Visovac Island.
- Respect the natural silence of Krka National Park, as noise disrupts both the visitor experience and the animal life of the area. Avoid loud music and other sources of noise, keep conversations and electronic devices quiet, and refrain from creating unnecessary noise during your visit to the Park.
- Please respect the cultural and historical values of the sites you visit. Respect the local population, their way of life, customs, and traditions, and behave considerately in all parts of the Park where the local community carries out its daily life.
