In January, Šibenik become a green film screen

From the 22nd to the 24nd of January, The Green Eyed Festival will help carry out the Green Eye Festival – Time to BEE Green, the first festival on this theme; the Public film festival of the Krka National Park.

This year's edition of the festival puts the spotlight on pollinators – often invisible, but crucial for the preservation of ecosystems, food security, and nature's resilience to climate change. Through stories from the field and the experiences of local communities, beekeepers, and young people, the festival reminds us that biodiversity is not an abstract concept, but a living network that directly depends on our daily decisions and the manner we implement policies of the manner of procection nature.

During the two days of the festival, visitors will be able to enjoy carefully selected films by renowned authors and discussions with educational panels featuring interesting guests. Tijekom dva dana festivala posjetitelji će moći uživati u pažljivo odabranim filmovima renomiranih autora i edukativnim panel-raspravama sa zanimljivim gostima.

Green Eye Festival (GEF) – Nature Is Watching You, an innovative program launched in 2017, is a combination of film art and environmental awareness, which aims to bring the topics of ecology, environmental protection, and nature conservation closer to a wider audience. As a rare example of a festival initiated by a public institution, GEF stands out by focusing on ecology through the audiovisual arts and accompanying educational activities.

The Krka National Park is celebrating its 40th birthday this year. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of its declaration as a national park on the 24th of January 1985, the public institution responsible for managing this protected area will organize a series of events to celebrate four decades of active work aimed at preserving the natural and cultural-historical heritage of the area and educating employees, visitors, and the local community about its significance.
