U edukacijsko-interpretacijskom središtu Laboratorij prirode mogu se održavati različiti edukativni, kreativni i popularno-znanstveni programi za široku publiku, a posebno za skupine predškolske i osnovnoškolske djece. Stalna interaktivna izložba ima interpretacijsku i edukacijsku namjenu, u suvremeno opremljenoj multifunkcionalnoj dvorani mogu se održavati predavanja i radionice, u izložbenom hodniku izlagati dječji radovi, na tematskom igralištu igrati razne igre, a na otvorenom održavati projekcije zahvaljujući multimedijskom sustavu za kino u prirodi Amfiteatar za radoznale.
Izložbeni prostor sastoji se od šest prostornih niša, a u svakoj od njih izloženi su predmeti koji pripadaju određenoj tematskoj cjelini. Njihova scenografija inspirirana je šupljikavom i zavojitom sedrom, kao temeljnim fenomenom Nacionalnog parka „Krka“. Glavna poruka koja se želi prenijeti tom izložbom jest ta da svijet u kojem živimo treba istraživati i upoznavati koristeći metode različitih znanstvenih disciplina i zanimanja koja se bave proučavanjem prirode i odnosa čovjeka prema njoj.
Tih šest tema jesu geologija, povijest, flora i fauna, zaštita prirode i znanstvena zanimanja. Stalna muzejska izložba sastoji se od kompleksnih interaktivnih izložaka, složenih od grafičkih, multimedijalnih i mehaničkih elemenata. Svaki izložak prate jedinstvena zaigrana ilustrativna uputa i interpretacijska zidna grafika u obliku mentalne mape kao uvod u pojedinu tematsku cjelinu.
Okućnica je oplemenjena dječjim igralištem, koje upotpunjava glavnu poruku Centra proširujući je u prostor na otvorenom. Tema igrališta jesu značajne životinje koje se mogu naći u Parku, prema čijim su motivima osmišljeni elementi za igru na igralištu.
The Amphitheatre is an external extension of the Laboratory of Nature, just a five-minute walk along the educational trail. It includes an area for video screening, plays, recitals and similar contact in an amphitheatre-shaped outdoor space. There are stands for spectators, covered with a wooden pergola, and a plateau for presentations with outdoor projection screen. It is fully equipped with a projection screen, sound system, projector, lighting and recording devices.
