We present the Sustainability Report of the Visitor Destination Krka National Park, prepared in accordance with the criteria of the international Green Destinations Certification Program. The Report provides an overview of key activities, projects and results in the field of sustainable management in 2025.

The report covers topics related to visitor management, protection of natural and cultural values, environmental responsibility, cooperation with the local community, education and the promotion of sustainable practices. Special emphasis is placed on the preservation of tufa barriers and the river ecosystem, development of sustainable mobility, improvement of visitor infrastructure and projects that contribute to a balanced development of the destination and the quality of the visitor experience.

In 2025, Krka National Park continued to develop a sustainable management model based on nature conservation, responsible visitor management and active engagement of the local community. In addition to intensified activities aimed at preserving tufa barriers, restoring habitats and protecting endangered species, the development of less frequented areas of the Park and the broader destination was encouraged.

A significant part of the activities focused on the development of sustainable infrastructure and mobility: from investments in the restoration and adaptation of trails and interpretive content to improvements in electric mobility, cycling routes and systems that minimize environmental impact. In the field of environmental responsibility, measures aimed at the rational use of water, waste reduction, energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources were implemented.

The report also confirms the important role of Krka National Park in preserving cultural heritage and strengthening cooperation with local residents through educational programmes, cultural and historical events, workshops for children and youth and activities that contribute to conserving traditional values and the identity of the Krka River area.

By systematic monitoring of sustainability indicators and the implementation of numerous projects and programmes, Krka National Park reaffirms its commitment to preserving natural and cultural heritage and developing sustainable tourism in line with international standards.
