18/05/2026
Krka National Park continuously monitors visitor experiences in order to maintain their high quality, improve sustainable site management and ensure a balance between nature protection and the tourist experience. An analysis of visitor comments and reviews in 2025 and 2026 posted on TripAdvisor shows that visitors primarily perceive the Park as an area of exceptional natural beauty, tranquillity and an authentic experience of nature.
Natural beauties and impressions of the environment
Most comments focus on intact nature, magnificent waterfalls, abundant water and vegetation and the unique sense of tranquillity offered by the Park. Visitors often describe their visit as “magical,” “relaxing” and “unforgettable,” highlighting the wooden walkways, which allow a close contact with nature without disturbing the sensitive ecosystem. Many praise the panoramic views, the boat ride from Skradin and the opportunity to observe plant and animal life.
Numerous visitors recognize the value of the infrastructure, which enables smooth movement through sensitive habitats: walkways, circular trails and organized transport allow access to many sites with minimal impact on nature. Visitors point out their satisfaction with a visit in off-peak season such as spring and autumn, when they can experience the Park in a more relaxed atmosphere.

Organization and infrastructure
Most comments confirm that access to the Park, boat lines, bus transport and signage are functional and enable a high-quality experience. Visitors have given positive reviews of the cleanliness of the area, the availability of services and the organization of entry into the Park, especially in the pre-season and post-season. The Park staff has also received positive comments, particularly in situations where visitors needed assistance or additional information.
At the same time, some comments point to challenges typical of heavily visited protected areas, especially during peak season. The most common remarks are related to crowds, long waiting times for boat transport, insufficiently clear landmarks between sites and the perception of high ticket prices and additional services. Some visitors have noted the need for improved maintenance of certain parts of the infrastructure, such as wooden walkways and sanitary facilities.
It is important to emphasize that many visitors, despite seasonal crowds, still consider the experience worth a visit and believe that the preserved natural environment justifies investments in the protection and maintenance of the site.
Sustainable tourism and visitor management
Comments show that visitors increasingly recognize the importance of sustainable management of protected areas. The system of movement through the Park based on designated walkways, marked trails and organized boat and bus transport is perceived positively as it reduces traffic loads and the environmental footprint of vehicles. Visitors also appreciate being in a natural environment that is not overcommercialized and where natural sounds and landscapes are preserved.
The analysis of comments has confirmed the importance of continuous monitoring of visitor numbers, especially in the summer months, in order to maintain the quality of the visitor experience and protect sensitive natural sites.

Activities to improve the visitor experience
In order to further enhance the quality of visits and respond to visitor needs, the Krka National Park Public Institution continuously engages in activities aimed at sustainable management and infrastructure improvements. The following activities are the most important:
- continuous maintenance and renewal of walkways, scenic viewpoints and sanitary infrastructure;
