The Nature Interpretation Centre Krka – well of life in Kistanje is a unique place that displays in a modern and interactive way the priceless value of water for life on our planet
Located at the western entrance to the Krka National Park, the Centre offers a journey through the world of the Krka River, which has shaped the landscape, culture, and lives of the people in Šibenik-Knin County for centuries. From its ancient mills and Roman military camps to the first hydroelectric power plant in Europe that produced alternating current, the Krka River is a symbol of the coexistence of man and nature. Through several interpretive units, interactive exhibitions, and fourteen audio points, visitors can explore the theme of water and its key roles in nature and society.
