Summary of the project: The goal of the project "The restoration and preservation of the target habitat type 3210 – Tufa barriers of the karst rivers of the Dinarides in the area of Krka NP – Sedra Viva" is to restore and preserve the target habitat type 32A0 - Tufa barriers of the karst rivers of Dinarides in the area of the Krka NP by enabling an unhindered process of sedimentation and establishing management efficiency monitoring. The aforementioned is achieved by the implementation of activities for the restoration and preservation of tufa barriers, namely the restoration of barriers by removing successional vegetation and the establishment of monitoring of the effectiveness of preservation, restoration, and management of the habitat type. The proposed activities are based on the results of a series of scientific investigations conducted in the project area in the last five years.

The project is aligned with the Specific Objective under the Competitiveness and Cohesion Programme 2021-2027 "Strengthening the protection and preservation of nature, biodiversity, and green infrastructure, including in urban areas, and reducing all forms of pollution", as well as with Objective 1 of the Strategy and Action Plan for Nature Protection of the Republic of Croatia.
