Interpreter guides of the Krka National Park are preparing a special programme this year in honour of the International Day of Tourist Guides, 21 February, and invite all lovers of the natural and cultural heritage to a free tour of the upper reaches of the Krka River under their expert guidance

The celebratory tour will take place on Saturday, 14 March 14 2026, and the tour will include the sites of Manojlovac, Burnum, and the Krka Nature Interpretation Centre – well of life in Kistanje. Two groups of visitors, each consisting of twenty-five people, are planned for the tour, departing at 9:30 a.m. Participants will gather at the parking lot at the Manojlovac site, from where they will be transported by van to the sites they will visit.

The programme includes a tour of the Manojlovac waterfall, a visit to the Burnum archaeological site, and a tour of the Krka Nature Interpretation Center – well of life in Kistanje. Thanks to the expert guidance, visitors will be able to learn about the natural and cultural features of the upper courses of the Krka River, with a special emphasis on hiking trails and cycling routes, which will enable an active stay in the Park in the coming spring days.

The centre in Kistanje, through modern multimedia and interactive content, tells the story of the Krka River, its rich history, flora, and fauna, and the importance it has had for the local population from prehistoric times to the present day.

Participants will also discover the historical layers at Burnum, one of the most important archaeological sites in this area, and will enjoy the view of the Manojlovac waterfall, the highest waterfall on the Krka River, which has been delighting visitors and travelers with its beauty for over a century.

The number of places for participation in the tour is limited.
