From September 16 to 22, 2026, visitors arriving at the Krka National Park on foot or by bicycle are entitled to half-price admission tickets. By doing so, the Krka National Park joins in the observance of European Mobility Week; this year’s theme, "Mobility for All," highlights intergenerational equality, and the importance of sustainable, accessible, and inclusive forms of mobility.

During the promotional period, the ticket price for the entire Park will be €20 for adults and €7.50 for children aged seven to eighteen, or €10 for adults and €6 for children for the Roški Slap, the Krka Eco Campus in Puljane, and the Krka – the Source of Life Nature Interpretation Centre in Kistanje. Tickets for these prices can be purchased exclusively at the Skradin Bridge, Stinice, and Roški slap waterfall reception points while Mobility Week is underway.

European Mobility Week takes place annually from September 16 to 22 across Europe, aiming to encourage citizens to choose more sustainable modes of travel. This year’s theme, "Mobility for All", highlights in particular an intergenerational perspective – creating spaces and traffic solutions that meet the needs of all generations, from children and young people, to adults, and those more elderly, as well as the needs of future generations.

In Krka National Park, sustainable mobility is naturally connected with the way we experience the protected area. The park features 47 km of walking trails and 388 km of cycling routes that wind through riverbeds and canyons, past waterfalls, through forests and traditional settlements, and through numerous viewpoints.

One of the more appealing trails, offering an immersive experience of nature, is the 3.4 km long educational hiking trail stretching from Skradin Bridge to the Skradinski buk waterfall. Carved into the right bank of the Krka, the trail winds through the green canyon where, after its final waterfall, the river flows calmly toward the sea.

On the central course of the river, the 8.5 km long Stinice – Roški Slap – Oziđana pećine cave path leads through a centuries old forest of downy oak and hornbeam, over the Roški slap waterfall and its tufa cascades to the Oziđana pećine cave.

For those wishing to spend a few days amidst protected nature and the invaluable cultural heritage, the Titius Hostel is located at the Krka Eco Campus in Puljane. Accommodation includes free entry to the upper reaches of the Krka River and the Roški slap waterfall; additionally, during European Mobility Week, guests can purchase a ticket for Skradinski buk at a reduced price if they choose to walk there from the entrance at Skradinski bridge.

Walking and cycling are activities that cause less environmental pollution than traveling by motor vehicle; furthermore, they offer more direct contact with nature and a richer experience of the surroundings. By walking or cycling, we reduce exhaust emissions, noise, and strain on the environment, while simultaneously benefiting our own health. At the Krka Eco Campus in Puljane, visitors can also rent electric bicycles (pedalecs), allowing them to explore cycling routes without needing their own equipment.

This year’s European Mobility Week is an opportunity to slow down and shift our perspective. Leave the car behind, set out on foot, or hop on a bike, and experience the Krka River up close. After all, the space we share with others today, we are also preserving for those who will inherit it from us.

Detailed information about hiking trails and cycling routes is available on the website of Public Institute of Krka National Park.
