Interest has been growing for the Junior Rangers activities: the youngest guardians of nature investigated the protected natural features in the vicinity of their homes last weekend.

After briefly introducing the parents to the goals and planned activities for the coming period, the youngest Junior Rangers set off to explore the exceptional features of the Krka National Park at the "Junior Ranger ID" workshop, designed to introduce children to the natural and cultural-historical elements of the Krka National Park and the rules of conduct in the protected area. As the youngest nature guardians, the students are introduced to the important role they play in preserving nature and the environment and to the details of participating in the Junior Ranger program.

"We are extremely pleased that children and young people show interest and sincere care for nature and that they participate with great enthusiasm in the activities that we design especially for them in the Krka National Park as part of the Junior Ranger program", stated the director of the Krka National Park, Nella Slavica, and emphasized: "Along with elements of protection and preservation, raising awareness among young people who are interested in nature is the greatest achievement that protected areas can point to as a pledge for preservation of the biodiversity of natural ecosystems."

As the youngest nature guardians progress in acquiring knowledge and understanding nature, in the coming months they will join their older colleagues in joint learning and environmental conservation activities. We wish them happiness, success, and perseverance in getting to know our karst beauty, the Krka, and protecting it. So, bravely advance!
