The humanitarian campaign “A Book from the Heart” once again in the Krka National Park
06/02/2026
Through the humanitarian campaign “A Book from the Heart”, from the 9th to the 16th of Februrary 2026, the souvenir shops of the Krka National Park will once again be a meeting place for kindness, knowledge, and love of books
Participation is simple: bring at least two books in good condition, and in return you will receive the beautiful photo-monograph The Legend of the Krka (in Croatian), one of the most attractive publications of the Krka National Park.
The campaign is being held for the fourth year in a row and has already become a beautiful tradition of gifting in February, the month of love, when we celebrate both Valentine's Day and International Book Giving Day (February 14). The collected books will be donated to a selected association or institution, thus spreading the joy of reading and giving new life to stories that deserve new readers.
You can bring books to the souvenir shops in Šibenik and Drniš from Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, and to the souvenir shop at Skradinski buk every day from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The photomonograph The Legend of the Krka, with magical photographs by Davor Šarić and a poetic text by Veljko Barbieri, represents a perfect blend of nature, art, and words, and is an ideal gift for Valentine's Day, and it can also be kept as a cherished memory of the Park.
With this campaign, the Krka National Park actively encourages the culture of reading, gifting, and sharing knowledge. Because books connect people, awaken emotions and spread love, just like the Krka River.
Together with us, fall in love with reading and do a good deed – your gifted book can change someone's day, even someone's whole world!
