The Public Institute of Krka National Park has submitted its inspirational story "When Water Builds and Man Preserves: 17 tufa steps towards a sustainable future" to the prestigious international competition TOP 100 Stories by Green Destinations

By entering the TOP 100 stories, Krka National Park has joined the most prominent and creative examples of sustainable tourism from around the world. It now has the opportunity to win the People’s Choice Award, a special audience award that will be presented as part of the Green Destinations Story Awards at the world-renowned ITB Berlin tourism fair in 2025.

The Green Destinations Story Awards recognises and rewards destinations that contribute to environmental protection, preservation of local communities, and the development of sustainable tourism through their projects and stories. The uniqueness of the People’s Choice Award lies in the fact that the winner is chosen by readers and fans of sustainable destinations from around the world, further emphasising the importance of public support.
