Natjecanje organizira Javna ustanova za upravljanje za\u0161ti\u0107enim dijelovima prirode Dubrova\u010dko-neretvanske \u017eupanije, a uz murvu sa Skradinskog buka natje\u010de se i Sestrica iz Miklu\u0161evaca, crna topola (Populus nigra<\/em>) iz Vukovarsko-srijemske \u017eupanije.<\/p>\n Glasovati se mo\u017ee na mre\u017enoj stranici https:\/\/www.zastita-prirode-dnz.hr\/glasaj-za-hrvatsko-stablo-2023-godine\/<\/a> od 1. do 30. rujna 2023. Pobjednik \u0107e biti progla\u0161en 13. listopada 2023., a organizator \u0107e ga kandidirati za Europsko stablo godine 2024.<\/p>\n Natjecanjem Hrvatsko stablo godine nastoji se istaknuti zna\u010denje \u0161to ga u prirodnoj i kulturnoj ba\u0161tini imaju stara stabla, koja zaslu\u017euju na\u0161u brigu i za\u0161titu. U sredi\u0161tu nisu samo ljepota, veli\u010dina ili starost stabla, ve\u0107 i pri\u010da o stablu i njegovoj povezanosti s lokalnom zajednicom i ljudima. Stoga se natjecanjem lokalne zajednice, ali i \u0161ira javnost, poti\u010du da se uklju\u010de u za\u0161titu i o\u010duvanje prirodnih vrijednosti. Zahvaljuju\u0107i takvoj vrsti natjecanja stabla se promi\u010du kao va\u017ean element u za\u0161titi i o\u010duvanju prirodnih vrijednosti i bioraznolikosti, iznimno va\u017ean za \u017eivot \u010dovjeka i opstanak \u010dovje\u010danstva.<\/p>\n Pri\u010du o svilenoj pro\u0161losti i slatkoj sada\u0161njosti ovoga kraja pri\u010da i dud na Skradinskom buku, \u010dija je starost procijenjena na oko \u010detiristo godina. Kako nam kazuje don Krsto Sto\u0161i\u0107, upravo se u Skradinu u prvoj polovici 19. stolje\u0107a nalazilo najve\u0107e uzgajali\u0161te svilene bube u Dalmaciji: tridesetih godina 19. st. Skradin je, uz Rab, bio najve\u0107i proizvo\u0111a\u010d \u010dahura dudova prelca u Dalmaciji. Do \u0161ezdesetih godina 19. st. proizvodnja svilenih \u010dahura u Dalmaciji rasla je, no s pojavom bolesti duda (murve) naglo je pala. Po\u010detkom 20. st. Skradin je bio jedino mjesto u Dalmaciji u kojemu su se proizvodile \u010dahure i svila. Proizvodnja je, zbog niskih cijena, zamrla pred Prvi svjetski rat.<\/p>\n Ove godine Javna ustanova \u201eNacionalni park Krka\u201c uklju\u010dila se u akciju \u201eRastemo zajedno\u201c, koja se provodi u sklopu europske inicijative za sadnju tri milijarde stabala do 2030. godine. Tim povodom su na Praznik rada lokalnom stanovni\u0161tvu podijeljene i sadnice autohtonih vrsta planike i lovora, a u kolovozu je na Skradinskom buku uprili\u010dena i izlo\u017eba fotografija, koja je naglasila va\u017enost hlada koji nam pru\u017eaju stabla.<\/p>\n Zato pozivamo sve prijatelje Nacionalnog parka \u201eKrka\u201c da glasuju za murvu na Skradinskom buku. The Croatian Tree of the Year competition aims to highlight the importance held by old trees in the natural and cultural heritage, which deserve our care and protection. The focus is not only on the beauty, size, or age of the tree, but also on the story of the tree and its connection with the local community and people. Therefore, the competition within the local community, as well as the general public, encourages them to get involved in the protection and preservation of natural elements. Thanks to this type of competition, trees are promoted as an important factor in the protection and preservation of natural values and biodiversity, extremely important for human life in general and the survival of mankind. The story of the silken past and the sweet present of this region is also told by the mulberry tree at Skradinski buk, which is estimated to be around four hundred years old. As Don Krsto Sto\u0161i\u0107 tells us, in the first half of the 19th<\/sup> century, Skradin was home to the largest silkworm breeding site in Dalmatia: in the thirties of the 19th<\/sup> century, Skradin, along with Rab, was the largest producer of mulberry silkworm cocoons in Dalmatia. Until the 1860s, the production of silk cocoons in Dalmatia grew, but with the appearance of the mulberry disease, it fell sharply. At the beginning of the 20th<\/sup> century, Skradin was the only place in Dalmatia where cocoons and silk were produced. Due to low prices, production died off before the First World War. This year, the Krka National Park joined the action “Growing Together”, which has been implemented as part of the European initiative to plant three billion trees by 2030. On this occasion, saplings of autochthonous species of planika<\/em>\/madrones\/arbutus and laurel were distributed to the local population on International Labour Day (May 1), and in August, a photo exhibition was held at Skradinski buk, which emphasised the importance of shade provided by trees. That’s why we invite all friends of the Krka National Park to vote for the mulberry tree at Skradinski buk. All information about the competition can be found on the Park’s social networks.
