XV. Burnumske ide odr\u017eane su, pod sloganom \u201eSre\u0107a prati hrabre \u2013 Audaces fortuna iuvat<\/em>\u201c, u subotu, 12. kolovoza u 21 sat<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rimski vojni logor Burnum u cijelosti se nalazi na podru\u010dju Nacionalnog parka \u201eKrka\u201c, u selu Ivo\u0161evci, sjeverno od Kistanja. Zub vremena po\u0161tedio je ostatke lukova zgrade vojnog zapovjedni\u0161tva i dobro o\u010duvani amfiteatar. Gledano o\u010dima dana\u0161njeg \u010dovjeka, te\u0161ko je zamisliti da je u burnumskom amfiteatru prije dva tisu\u0107lje\u0107a moglo stajati od \u0161est do deset tisu\u0107a du\u0161a. Da\u0161ak minulih vremena i duh igara koje su se u njemu odvijale o\u017eivljavaju Burnumske ide, manifestaciju koju Javna ustanova \u201eNacionalni park Krka\u201c u Burnumu organizira svakoga ljeta jo\u0161 od 2011. godine.<\/p>\n

Ove godine obilje\u017eili smo dvadeset godina kontinuiranog istra\u017eivanja Burnuma. Nova istra\u017eivanja u njemu po\u010dela su ujesen 2003. godine na inicijativu JU \u201eNacionalni park Krka\u201c i Gradskog muzeja Drni\u0161. Osim klasi\u010dnih arheolo\u0161kih iskopavanja, u suradnji s talijanskim stru\u010dnjacima provode se i istra\u017eivanja temeljena na suvremenim geofizi\u010dkim metodama pomo\u0107u kojih se, preko virtualne 3D rekonstrukcije, posjetiteljima mo\u017ee do\u010darati pretpostavljeni izgled objekata na tom lokalitetu.<\/p>\n

Kako je sve izgledalo na po\u010detku i kako je amfiteatar postao svjetski poznat do\u010darali su nam, kroz zabavnu predstavu pod zvjezdanim nebom \u201eSre\u0107a prati hrabre\u201c, poznati glumci s hrvatske scene.<\/p>\n

Nakon njih na pozornicu amfiteatra popeo se jedan od trenutno najpopularnijih hrvatskih glazbenika, Matija Cvek, sa svojim bendom The Funkensteins. \u0160ira javnost upoznala ga je kroz iznimno gledanu i nagra\u0111ivanu HRT-ovu emisiju \u201eA strana\u201c. Ipak, najprepoznatljiviji je po svojim autorskim pjesmama. Za golemi trud koji je Matija ulo\u017eio u svoj album prvijenac, \u201eIzbirljivo i slu\u010dajno\u201c, nagra\u0111en je Porinom u kategoriji Najbolji album pop glazbe.<\/p>\n

Osim scenskog programa, u sklopu Burnumskih ida u amfiteatru se tradicionalno odr\u017eao i sajam, na kojemu su posjetitelji mogli upoznati mnoge aspekte \u017eivota starih Rimljana. Uz brojne edukativne radionice, na sajmu su prezentirane legionarske i gladijatorske vje\u0161tine i oprema, anti\u010dki obrti, spravljanje mirisnih pripravaka i magijskih napitaka za one koje more ljubavne brige, te mnoga umije\u0107a iz toga vremena, kao \u0161to su pisanje voskom, izrada drvenih igra\u010daka, mozaika i bula, anti\u010dka \u0161kola, odijevanje, dotjerivanje i \u0161minkanje, odmaranje na trikliniju, gatanje iz kostiju i niz drugih zabavnih sadr\u017eaja.<\/p>\n

Termin ‘ide’ (lat. ‘idus’) u rimskom kalendaru odnosi se na dane punog mjeseca, na petnaesti dan u o\u017eujku, svibnju, srpnju i listopadu, a trinaesti u svim ostalim mjesecima. Prema idama i kalendama ra\u010dunali su se svi ostali dani u mjesecu. Ina\u010de, dane punog mjeseca Rimljani su smatrali povoljnim za organiziranje sve\u010danosti i proslava. Danas pod vedrim kolovo\u0161kim nebom svake godine rekonstruiramo povijest ovoga kraja u rimskom dobu, prikazivanjem \u017eivota kako civilnog pu\u010danstva tako i legionara, od njihovih vjerovanja i obi\u010daja, svakodnevnih poslova, zanatskih vje\u0161tina i umjetni\u010dkih postignu\u0107a do magijskih rituala koje su prakticirali.<\/p>\n

\nThe Burnum Ides: in honour of the twentieth anniversary of the archaeological excavations at the Roman site of Burnum<\/strong>
\nThe XVth<\/sup> Burnum Ides were held, with the motto \u201cFortune follows the brave \u2013 Audaces fortuna iuvat<\/em>\u201d, on Saturday, the 12th<\/sup> of August at 9 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Roman military camp of Burnum is located entirely within the area of the Krka National Park, in the village of Ivo\u0161evci, north of Kistanje. The ravages of time spared the remains of the arches of the military command building and the well-preserved amphitheatre. Seen through present day eyes, it is hard to imagine that six to ten thousand souls could have fit in the Burnum amphitheatre two millennia ago. A touch of the past times and the spirit of the games that took place in it are revived by the Burnum Festival, an event that the Krka National Park organise in Burnum every summer since 2011.<\/p>\n

This year we marked twenty years of continuous research at Burnum. New excavations began in the autumn of 2003 on the initiative of the Krka National Park and the Municipal Museum of Drni\u0161. In addition to classic archaeological excavations, in collaboration with Italian experts, investigations using modern geophysical methods were also carried out, with the help of which, through a virtual 3D reconstruction, visitors can imagine the presumed appearance of the buildings at the site.<\/p>\n

How everything looked at the beginning, and how the amphitheatre became world-famous was conveyed to us through an entertaining performance by well-known actors from the Croatian scene under the starry sky, “Luck Follows the Brave”.<\/p>\n

After them, one of the most popular Croatian musicians, Matija Cvek, took to the amphitheatre stage with his band, The Funkensteins. The general public has come to know him through the highly watched and award-winning CRT show “The A Side”. However, he is most recognisable for his original songs. For the enormous effort that Matija put into his debut album, “Choosy and Accidental”, he was granted the Porin musical award for the Best Pop Music Album category.<\/p>\n

In addition to the stage program, a fair was traditionally held in the amphitheatre as part of the Burnum Ides, where visitors could learn about many aspects of the life of the ancient Romans. In addition to numerous educational workshops, the fair presented legionary and gladiator skills and equipment, ancient crafts, the production of aromatic preparations and magical potions for those who are overwhelmed by love worries, and many other skills from that time, such as writing in wax, making wooden toys, mosaics, and bulla, Roman schools, Roman attire, dressing up, and make-up, resting on a triclinium, fortune-telling from bones, and many other forms of entertainment.<\/p>\n

The term ‘ides’ (Lat. ‘idus’) in the Roman calendar refers to the days of the full moon, the fifteenth day in March, May, July and October, and the thirteenth in all other months. All other days of the month were counted according to the Ides and the Kalends (first of the month). The Romans considered the days of the full moon favourable for organising ceremonies and celebrations. Today, under the clear August skies, every year we reconstruct the history of this region in the Roman era, showing the life of both the civilian population and the legionnaires, from their beliefs and customs, everyday jobs, craft skills, and artistic achievements, to the magical rituals they practiced.<\/p>\n
