Ciklus tekstova \u201eOtkrivanje Burnuma\u201c mo\u017eete pogledati ovdje<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Nakon \u0161to smo ciklusom tekstova pod naslovom \u201eKako je sve po\u010delo\u201c bogatstvo prirodne ba\u0161tine Nacionalnog parka \u201eKrka\u201c predstavili kroz stvaranje reljefnih oblika, podzemnog svijeta i sedre, prelazimo na jednako vrijednu kulturnopovijesnu ba\u0161tinu. Tako\u0111er \u0107emo se vratiti u pro\u0161lost, na sam po\u010detak nove ere, kada su podru\u010djem Nacionalnog parka \u201eKrka\u201c vladali Rimljani.<\/p>\n

Ciklus \u201eOtkrivanje Burnuma\u201c donosi dvadeset i dva teksta, koja \u0107emo svakoga petka, po\u010dev\u0161i od 2. prosinca, objavljivati na slu\u017ebenim mre\u017enim stranicama i dru\u0161tvenim mre\u017eama Nacionalnog parka \u201eKrka\u201c. S obzirom na to da se arheolo\u0161ki lokalitet Burnum sustavno istra\u017euje dvadeset godina, da je obra\u0111en veliki broj predmeta prona\u0111enih na njemu i da su iz toga proiza\u0161le mnoge znanstvene studije i radovi, raspola\u017eemo brojnim zanimljivim \u010dinjenicama o \u017eivotu u tome rimskom vojnom logoru.<\/p>\n

Zapo\u010det \u0107emo s Burnumom na starim zemljovidima, a zavr\u0161iti s primjenom suvremenih tehnologija u njegovu istra\u017eivanju. U me\u0111uvremenu \u0107emo se dotaknuti va\u017enih ljudi koji su posjetili Burnum, na\u010dina \u017eivota u njemu i tematskih arheolo\u0161kih nalaza.<\/p>\n

Biser anti\u010dke povijesti, rimski vojni logor Burnum, sagra\u0111en je u 1. stolje\u0107u poslije Krista. U logoru se utaborila XI. legija rimske vojske, koja je od 42. g. pr. Kr. nosila po\u010dasni naziv Claudia pia Fidelis<\/em>, a nakon njezina povla\u010denja zamijenila ju je IV. legija Flavia Felix<\/em>. Nalazi sustavnih arheolo\u0161kih istra\u017eivanja amfiteatra i vojnog logora izlo\u017eeni su u arheolo\u0161koj zbirci u Eko kampusu \u201eKrka\u201d u Puljanima. Lokalitet i arheolo\u0161ka zbirka otvoreni su za posjetitelje tijekom cijele godine.<\/p>\n

After our series of articles entitled \u201cHow it all started\u201d that presented the wealth of natural heritage of Krka National Park through the creation of forms of relief, the underground world and tufa, we will begin to present the equally valuable cultural and historical heritage. We will also step back into the past, to the start of the new era, when the Romans ruled the area that is currently Krka National Park.<\/p>\n

The series entitled \u201cRevealing Burnum\u201d features 22 articles that will be released on the official website and social media sites of Krka National Park every Friday, starting on 2 December. Since the Burnum archaeology site has been the subject of systematic research for the past 20 years, and many artefacts found at the site have been researched, resulting in numerous scientific studies and papers, we have a great deal of interesting facts about life in that Roman military camp.<\/p>\n

We will begin with Burnum on the old maps, and end with the use of contemporary technology in research. In the meantime, we will touch upon the important people who visited Burnum, the way of life within the camp, and thematic archaeological artefacts.<\/p>\n

Burnum Roman military camp, a gem of ancient history, was constructed in the 1st<\/sup> century BC. The XI Roman legion bearing the honorary name Claudia pia Fidelis <\/em>in 42 B.C. was stationed here and upon its departure, was replaced by the IV legion Flavia Felix<\/em>. The findings unearthed in the systematic archaeological research of the amphitheatre and military camp are on display in the archaeological collection of the Krka Eco Campus in Puljane. The site and the archaeological collection are open to visitors year round.
