Nalaze se u gotovo svim tipovima vodenih stani\u0161ta, osim mora i oceana. Najva\u017eniju ulogu u njihovoj rasprostranjenosti ima raznolikost mikrostani\u0161ta u odre\u0111enom biotopu, odnosno njihova preferencija prema odre\u0111enom tipu stani\u0161ta.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kako na druge skupine vodenih kukaca, tako i na vodene kornja\u0161e utje\u010du fizikalno-kemijska obilje\u017eja vode, prije svega brzina njezina strujanja i koncentracija hranjivih tvari otopljenih u njoj, \u0161to ih \u010dini va\u017enim pokazateljima kvalitete stani\u0161ta, odnosno bioindikatorima. Vodeni kornja\u0161i vrlo brzo reagiraju na promjene u svom stani\u0161tu.<\/p>\n<p>Sedrene barijere specifi\u010dna su stani\u0161ta, nastala biodinami\u010dkim procesima. Na tim stani\u0161tima voda je oboga\u0107ena kisikom i \u010desto vrlo brza. U njima se nalazi zajednica mahovina i kukaca kornja\u0161a slapoljuba (Insecta: Coleoptera: Elmidae), koja je definirana kao \u201enositelj biolo\u0161ke raznolikosti kr\u0161kih vodenih sustava\u201c i pokazatelj visoke kvalitete stani\u0161ta.<\/p>\n<p>Stoga je osnovni cilj ovog projekta bio provesti prvo istra\u017eivanje faune vodenih kornja\u0161a na slapi\u0161tima i sedrenim barijerama du\u017e toka rijeke Krke, po\u010dev\u0161i od izvora pa sve do njenog donjeg toka, koje \u0107e slu\u017eiti kao temelj budu\u0107ih istra\u017eivanja i dati smjernice za njih. S obzirom da do sada nisu provo\u0111ena sustavna istra\u017eivanja faune vodenih kornja\u0161a na tim stani\u0161tima, mjereni su, s ciljem odre\u0111ivanja indikatorskog potencijala navedenih kukaca, i fizikalno-kemijski pokazatelji vode. Uz to su, prema tipu supstrata, definirani tipovi stani\u0161ta. Terensko istra\u017eivanje provela je doc. dr. sc. Vlatka Mi\u010deti\u0107 Stankovi\u0107, iz Hrvatskog prirodoslovnog muzeja, u prolje\u0107e i ljeto 2023. godine na ukupno devet lokacija i devetnaest podlokacija du\u017e toka rijeke Krke. Utvr\u0111eno je osam porodica, \u0161esnaest rodova i dvadeset dvije vrste vodenih kornja\u0161a. Najzastupljenije su dvije porodice: \u0161avoljike (Hydraenidae) i slapoljubi (Elmidae), koje \u010dine tipi\u010dnu faunu ovakvih stani\u0161ta, \u0161to ukazuje na vodu vrlo visoke kakvo\u0107e.<\/p>\n<p>Raznolikost i brojnost kornja\u0161a na rijeci Krki razlikuju se du\u017e njezina toka i smanjuju se u nizvodnom smjeru. Najva\u017eniji \u010dinioci koji definiraju njihovu brojnost i rasprostranjenost jesu temperatura vode, koli\u010dina kisika otopljenog u njoj te tip i raznolikost mikrostani\u0161ta.<\/p>\n<p>Tijekom ovog istra\u017eivanja izra\u0111ena je i entomolo\u0161ka kutija s vi\u0161e od dvjesto prepariranih jedinki kukaca, koja \u0107e slu\u017eiti u edukaciji, za upoznavanje s metodama istra\u017eivanja u entomologiji i ekologiji, ali i za upoznavanje s tim zna\u010dajnim stanovnicima sedrenih barijera.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fotorama rounded-lg  shadow lblue-bg mt-5   \" data-width=\"100%\" data-ratio=\"16\/10\"  data-nav=\"thumbs\" data-autoplay=\"true\" data-arrows=\"true\" data-transition=\"crossfade\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/npkrka.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/Riolus-na-mahovini_izrezan.jpg\" width=\"100%\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/npkrka.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/Lic-i-imago-E-bosnica.jpg\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/div><p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[\/hr]<\/p>\n<p>[en]<br \/>\n<strong>Determination of the condition of aquatic beetles on the tufa barriers and waterfalls of the Krka NP<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Water beetles belong to the order of beetles (Insecta: Coleoptera). They are found in almost all types of aquatic habitats, except seas and oceans. The most important role in their distribution is occupied by the diversity of microhabitats in a certain biotope, in other words, their preference for a certain type of habitat.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As with other groups of aquatic insects, water beetles are equally affected by the physical-chemical characteristics of the water, primarily the speed of its flow and the concentration of nutrients dissolved in it, which makes them important indicators of the quality of a habitat, i.e. bioindicators. Water beetles react very quickly to changes in their habitat.<\/p>\n<p>Tufa barriers are specific habitats, created by biodynamic processes. In these habitats, the water is enriched with oxygen and often very fast. They contain a community of mosses and waterfall-loving beetles (Insecta: Coleoptera: Elmidae), which is defined as the &#8220;carrier of the abiological diversity of karst water systems&#8221; and as an indicator of high habitat quality.<\/p>\n<p>Therefore, the main goal of this project was to carry out the first survey of the fauna of aquatic beetles on the waterfalls and tufa barriers along the Krka River, starting from the source and ending with its lower course, which will serve as a basis for future research and provide guidelines for it. Given that no systematic investigation into the fauna of water beetles had yet been carried out in these habitats, the physico-chemical indicators of the water were also measured, with the aim of determining the indicator potential of the mentioned insects. In addition, habitat types were defined according to the type of substrate. The field research was conducted by Ass. Prof. Vlatka Mi\u010deti\u0107 Stankovi\u0107, PhD, from the Croatian Museum of Natural History, in the spring and summer of 2023 at a total of nine locations and nineteen sub-locations along the course of the Krka River. Eight families, sixteen genera, and twenty-two species of water beetles were identified. Two families were the most represented: hydraenidae and elmidae, which make up the typical fauna of such habitats, which indicates very high quality water. Two families were the most highly represented: moss beetles (<em>Hydraenidae<\/em>) and riffle beetles (<em>Elmidae<\/em>), which compose the typical fauna of such habitats, indicating water of a very high quality.<\/p>\n<p>The diversity and abundance of beetles in the Krka River vary along its course and decrease in the downstream direction.
