Nacionalni park \u201eKrka\u201c ponosan je na sudjelovanje Zelene dame<\/em> u natjecanju za Europsko stablo godine<\/strong><\/p>\n

U povodu Svjetskog dana \u0161uma, 21. o\u017eujka, sino\u0107 je u amfiteatru Europskog parlamenta u Bruxellesu odr\u017eana ceremonija dodjele nagrada za Europsko stablo godine 2024. Sve\u010danom progla\u0161enju prisustvovala je i Javna ustanova \u201eNacionalni park Krka\u201c, \u010dija je murva, prepoznatljiva Zelena dama<\/em> sa Skradinskog buka, kao Hrvatsko stablo godine, bila jedan od kandidata.<\/p>\n

Unato\u010d tome \u0161to Zelena dama<\/em> nije zauzela najvi\u0161e pozicije na ljestvici, njezina nazo\u010dnost kao predstavnika Hrvatske na ovom presti\u017enom natjecanju svjedo\u010di o bogatoj kulturnoj i ekolo\u0161koj ba\u0161tini koju Nacionalni park \u201eKrka\u201c \u010duva i promovira.<\/p>\n

S 39 158 glasova pobjedu je odnijela \u010darobna bukva iz Poljske, monumentalno stablo koje raste u sredi\u0161tu starog parka pa je zato nazvano Srce vrta.<\/em> Drugoplasirana je tako\u0111er bukva, ali francuska, dok je na tre\u0107em mjestu tisu\u0107ljetna maslina iz Italije.<\/p>\n

\u201e\u010cestitamo od srca pobjednicima Europskog stabla godine. To su Poljaci, dragi i \u010desti gosti Nacionalnog parka ‘Krka’. Vjerujemo da \u0107e sa zanimanjem i divljenjem gledati i na\u0161u murvu dok budu \u0161etali stazom oko Skradinskog buka<\/strong>\u201c, kazala je ravnateljica Nacionalnog parka \u201eKrka\u201c Nella Slavica i dodala: \u201eJo\u0161 jednom zahvaljujemo svima koji su dali svoj glas ili na drugi na\u010din podr\u017eali na\u0161u Zelenu damu<\/em>, Hrvatsko stablo godine, istinski dragulj na\u0161eg prirodnog i kulturnog naslije\u0111a, koja nas je sve u\u010dinila ponosnima na ovom natjecanju<\/strong>.\u201c<\/p>\n

Zelena dama<\/em>, s iznimno bogatom povije\u0161\u0107u, simbolizira su\u017eivot \u010dovjeka s prirodom, isti\u010du\u0107i va\u017enost o\u010duvanja starih stabala i povezanost lokalne zajednice s prirodnim okoli\u0161em. Njezina prisutnost na ovom natjecanju omogu\u0107ila je dodatno isticanje va\u017enosti o\u010duvanja biolo\u0161ke raznolikosti i kulturnog naslije\u0111a.<\/p>\n

Svake godine natjecanju se priklju\u010duju stotine tisu\u0107a glasa\u010da diljem Europe, a i \u0161ire. Republika Hrvatska priklju\u010dila mu se 2017. kada je prihva\u0107ena kandidatura Javne ustanove za upravljanje za\u0161ti\u0107enim dijelovima prirode Dubrova\u010dko-neretvanske \u017eupanije za nacionalnog koordinatora natjecanja uime Republike Hrvatske.<\/p>\n

Me\u0111unarodno natjecanje Stablo godine nagla\u0161ava va\u017enost starih stabala u prirodnoj i kulturnoj ba\u0161tini te, za razliku od ostalih natjecanja, nastoji prona\u0107i i promovirati ona stabla koja su ukorijenjena u \u017eivot i rad ljudi, koja svojom pri\u010dom svjedo\u010de o pro\u0161losti i su\u017eivotu s ljudima.<\/p>\n

Me\u0111unarodno natjecanje Stablo godine prvi je put odr\u017eano 2011. Inspirirano je popularnim festivalom Stabla godine, koji u \u010ce\u0161koj Republici ve\u0107 godinama organizira \u010ce\u0161ka udruga za za\u0161titu okoli\u0161a.<\/p>\n

Natjecanje organizira Environmental Partnership Association (EPA) u suradnji s European Landowners Organisation i Europskom komisijom.<\/p>\n

\nThe Krka National Park is proud of the participation of the Green Lady<\/em> in the competition for the European Tree of the Year <\/strong><\/p>\n

On the occasion of the World Day of Forests, on March 21, last night in the amphitheatre of the European Parliament in Brussels, the award ceremony for the European Tree of the Year 2024 was held. The Public Institute of Krka National Park also attended the ceremony, whose mulberry tree, the very recognisable Green Lady<\/em> from the Skradinski buk waterfall, as the Croatian tree of the year was nominated as one of the candidates.<\/p>\n

Despite the fact that the Green Lady<\/em> did not occupy one of the highest positions in the rankings, its presence as a representative of Croatia in this prestigious competition testifies to the rich cultural and ecological heritage that the Krka National Park preserves and promotes.<\/p>\n

With 39,158 votes, the victory was won by a magical beech from Poland, a monumental tree that grows in the centre of an old park and is therefore called the Heart of the Garden<\/em>. Second place was also a beech, but from France, while third place was taken by a thousand-year-old olive tree from Italy.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe heartily congratulate the winners of the European Tree of the Year. These are the Poles, popular and frequent guests at the Krka National Park. We believe that they will view our mulberry tree with interest and admiration as they walk along the path around Skradinski buk<\/strong>\u201d, stated the director of the Krka National Park, Nella Slavica, and added: \u201cOnce again, we would like to thank everyone who voted or otherwise supported our Green Lady<\/em>, the Croatian Tree of the Year, a true jewel of our natural and cultural heritage, which made us all proud at this competition.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n

The Green Lady<\/em>, with its extremely rich history, symbolises the coexistence of man and nature, emphasising the importance of preserving old trees, and the connections of the local community with the natural environment. Its presence at this competition made it possible to further highlight the importance of preserving biological diversity and the cultural heritage.<\/p>\n

Every year, hundreds of thousands of voters across Europe and beyond join the competition. The Republic of Croatia joined it in 2017, when the candidacy of the Public Institute for the Management of Protected Nature Areas of Dubrovnik-Neretva County was accepted as the national coordinator of the competition on behalf of the Republic of Croatia.<\/p>\n

The international Tree of the Year competition emphasises the importance of old trees in the natural and cultural heritage, and, unlike other competitions, tries to discover and promote those trees that have been rooted in the life and work of people, and that bear witness with their stories to the past and coexistence with people.<\/p>\n

The international Tree of the Year competition was held for the first time in 2011. It was inspired by the popular Tree of the Year Festival, which has been organised in the Czech Republic for years by the Czech Association for Protection of the Environment.<\/p>\n

The competition is organised by the Environmental Partnership Association (EPA) in cooperation with the European Landowners Organisation, and the European Commission.<\/p>\n
