Dan \u017eaba, kao globalni pokret, obilje\u017eava se od 2008., s ciljem da se skrene pozornost na njihovu ugro\u017eenost i potrebu njihova o\u010duvanja. Save The Frogs Day<\/em>, jo\u0161 je jedan u nizu dana kojima se javnosti \u017eeli pokazati koliko smo, kao \u010dovje\u010danstvo, \u0161tete nanijeli prirodi i da smo jo\u0161 jednu \u017eivotinju doveli na listu ugro\u017eenih vrsta.<\/p>\n U svijetu \u017eivi oko 5 450 vrsta \u017eaba, od kojih je, prema IUCN-u, ugro\u017eeno \u010dak 32,5 posto, a u posljednjem desetlje\u0107u 165 vrsta \u017eaba je izumrlo. Glavni uzroci ugro\u017eenosti \u017eaba, ali i cijele grupe vodozemaca, jesu nestanak njihovih stani\u0161ta, zaga\u0111enje i klimatske promjene. Vodozemci se nalaze u sredini hranidbenog lanca te su va\u017ena karika koja povezuje sitnije organizme, poput kukaca, i krupnije, poput ptica.<\/p>\n Tr\u0161\u0107aci, ujezereni dijelovi toka Krke, zamo\u010dvarene livade i okolne lokve stani\u0161te su devet vrsta vodozemaca. Najbrojnija je velika zelena \u017eaba (Pelophylax\u00a0ridibundus<\/em>), a \u010deste su sme\u0111a (Bufo bufo<\/em>) i zelena krasta\u010da (Bufotes viridis<\/em>). U lokvama na brdovitom podru\u010dju mo\u017ee se vidjeti planinski vodenjak (Mesotriton\u00a0alpestris<\/em>), u sporim teku\u0107icama s gustom vegetacijom mali vodenjak (Lissotriton\u00a0vulgaris<\/em>), a u vla\u017enim sjenovitim \u0161umama pjegavi da\u017edevnjak (Salamandra salamandra<\/em>). Na rubu \u0161uma \u010desta je obi\u010dna gatalinka (Hyla arborea<\/em>), akrobat u svijetu vodozemaca, koja mo\u017ee visjeti jednom nogom obje\u0161ena o granu stabla ili stajati okomito priljubljena uz list rogoza, a na okolnim vla\u017enim livadama \u0161umska sme\u0111a \u017eaba (Rana dalmatina<\/em>).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n [\/hr]<\/p>\n [en] Save the Frogs Day<\/em>, as a global movement, has been celebrated since 2008, with the aim of drawing attention to their endangerment and the need for their preservation. Save the Frogs Day, is yet another in a series of days meant to show the public how much, as humanity, we have harmed nature and added one more animal onto the list of endangered species.<\/p>\n About 5450 species of frogs live in the world, of which, according to the IUCN, as many as 32.5 percent are threatened, while in the last decade, 165 species of frogs became extinct. The main causes of frog endangerment, but also the entire group of amphibians, are the disappearance of their habitats, pollution, and climate change. Amphibians are located in the middle of the feeding chain and are an important link that connects the smaller organisms, such as insects, and larger one, like birds.<\/p>\n The reed areas, the lake sections of the course of the Krka River, the marshy meadows, and surrounding pools are the habitat for nine species of amphibians. The most numerous is the marsh frog (Pelophylax ridibundus<\/em>), and also frequent are the common toad (Bufo<\/em> bufo<\/em>) and the European green toad (Bufo<\/em> viridis<\/em>). In the pools in the hilly area, the Alpine newt can be seen (Mesotriton alpestris<\/em>), in slow water courses with thick vegetation the smooth newt (Lissotriton<\/em> vulgaris<\/em>), and in moist shadowy forests, the colorful fire salamander (Salamandra<\/em> salamandra<\/em>). On the edge of woods, the European tree frog is common (Hyla arborea<\/em>), an acrobat in the world of amphibians, which can hang with one foot from the branch of a tree or stand vertically attached to a Typha leaf, with agile frogs (Rana dalmatina<\/em>) in the surrounding moist meadows.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Save the Frogs Day wass marked on Friday, April 28, 2023, by an educational workshop at the Skradinski buk waterfall with the participation of the pupils of the 3rd grade of the Skradin Primary School.
