U sklopu projekta \u201eLIFE CONTRA Ailanthus \u2013 Uspostava kontrole invazivne strane vrste Ailanthus altissima<\/em> (pajasen) u Hrvatskoj\u201c na projektnom podru\u010dju HR2000918 \u0160ire podru\u010dje NP \u201eKrka\u201c po\u010delo je uklanjanje pajasena u NP \u201eKrka\u201c<\/strong>

Kako bi se o\u010duvala stani\u0161ta i autohtone biljne vrste te sprije\u010dilo \u0161irenje pajasena, invazivne strane vrste, Javna ustanova \u201eNacionalni park Krka\u201c kao partner sudjeluje u projektu uspostavljanja kontrole nad stablom pajasena, vrijednom ukupno 19,4 milijuna kuna. O\u010dekivani glavni rezultati projekta \u201eLIFE CONTRA Ailanthus\u201c jesu pobolj\u0161anje statusa o\u010duvanja Natura 2000 stani\u0161nih tipova, o\u010duvanje kulturne ba\u0161tine, sprje\u010davanje daljnjeg \u0161irenja invazivne strane vrste i razvoj nacionalnog protokola. Predvi\u0111eno je da projekt traje pet godina.

Za suzbijanje pajasena u NP \u201eKrka\u201c od sredine rujna do kraja listopada 2022. koristit \u0107e se razli\u010dite metode uklanjanja. Odabrano je osam lokaliteta, a aktivnost uklanjanja po\u010dela je u sjevernom dijelu Parka na podru\u010dju O\u0107estova. U sklopu projekta anga\u017eirane su \u010detiri grupe vanjskih stru\u010dnjaka za obavljanje posla izrade alternativnog protokola uklanjanja invazivne vrste pajasen (Ailanthus altissima<\/em>). U sklopu terenskih aktivnosti, stru\u010dnjaci \u0107e prikupiti i analizirati podatke te procijeniti utjecaj projekta na razli\u010dita stani\u0161ta, opra\u0161iva\u010de i bioraznolikost tla.

Pajasen istiskuje zavi\u010dajnu vegetaciju i smanjuje bioraznolikost, \u0161tetnik je u poljoprivredi, izaziva alergiju kod ljudi te uni\u0161tava spomenike kulturne ba\u0161tine i druge gra\u0111evine izuzetno jakim korijenovim sustavom. Zbog negativnih utjecaja na bioraznolikost, gospodarstvo i zdravlje ljudi, ta se vrsta nalazi na popisu invazivnih stranih vrsta koje izazivaju zabrinutost u Europskoj uniji.<\/p>\r\n

As a part of the project \u201cLIFE CONTRA Ailanthus \u2013 Establishment of control over the invasive foreign species Ailanthus altissima<\/em> (tree-of-heaven) in Croatia\u201d in the project region HR2000918, i.e. the broader area of the Krka National Park, the removal of ailanthus has begun in the Krka NP<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

In order to preserve habitats and autochthonous plant species and to prevent the spread of ailanthus\/tree-of-heaven, an invasive foreign species, the Krka National Park is participating as a partner in the project of establishing control over the ailanthus tree, valued at a total of 19.4 million HRK. The expected main results of the “LIFE CONTRA Ailanthus” project are the improvement of the conservation status of Natura 2000 habitat types, the preservation of the cultural heritage, the prevention of the further spread of invasive foreign species, and the development of a national protocol. The project is expected to continue for five years.<\/p>\r\n

Various methods of removal will be used to control the ailanthus in the Krka National Park from the middle of September to the end of October 2022. Eight sites have been chosen, and the removal activities began in the northern part of the park in the O\u0107estovo area. As part of the project, four groups of external experts were arranged to carry out the development of an alternative protocol for the removal of the invasive species also called tree-of-heaven (Ailanthus altissima<\/em>). As part of their field activities, these experts will collect and analyse data, and further assess the impact of the project on various habitats, pollinators, and the soil biodiversity.<\/p>\r\n

Ailanthus displaces native vegetation and reduces biodiversity, is damaging in agriculture, causes allergies in people, and destroys monuments of the cultural heritage and other buildings with its extremely strong root system. Due to negative impacts on biodiversity, the economy, and human health, this species is on the list of invasive non-native species of concern in the European Union.<\/p>\r\n
