Rijeka Krka, na svom toku od Zvonimirova Knina do Kre\u0161imirova \u0160ibenika, oblikovala je sedam veli\u010danstvenih slapova, raznolik i \u017eivopisan biljni i \u017eivotinjski svijet te \u0161pilje i jame prepune \u010dudesa.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sve to \u010dini bogatu prirodnu ba\u0161tinu Nacionalnog parka \u201eKrka\u201c koju je, s godinama iskustva, ali i s puno ljubavi i pa\u017enje, opisao i predstavio dr. sc. Drago Margu\u0161, stru\u010dni voditelj Javne ustanove \u201eNacionalni park Krka\u201c.<\/p>\n

Prirodoslovna monografija Nacionalnog parka \u201eKrka\u201c\u00a0Rijeka Krka: dar prirode<\/em>\u00a0realizirana je u sklopu projekta\u00a0Nepoznata Krka: skrivena blaga gornjeg i srednjeg toka rijeke Krke<\/em>, sufinanciranog iz Europskih strukturnih i investicijskih fondova. U fotografijama bogato opremljenoj monografiji, Margu\u0161 donosi detaljan uvid u prostor Nacionalnog parka \u201eKrka\u201c koji je nezamjenjiv dom tisu\u0107ama biljnih i \u017eivotinjskih vrsta i zbog kojih je jedno od najvrjednijih stani\u0161ta u Europi.<\/p>\n

\u201eNacionalni park ‘Krka’ iznimno je vrijedno za\u0161ti\u0107eno podru\u010dje koje uz za\u0161titu prirodnih vrijednosti i bogate kulturnopovijesne ba\u0161tine njeguje i zavidnu izdava\u010dku djelatnost. Me\u0111u izdanjima koja na jedinstven na\u010din opisuju neprocjenjivu biolo\u0161ku raznolikost po prvi put se nalazi prirodoslovna monografija Nacionalnog parka ‘Krka’, 57. izdanje u na\u0161oj ediciji. Prirodoslovna monografija veli\u010danstveno je djelo autora Drage Margu\u0161a, na\u0161eg dugogodi\u0161njeg stru\u010dnog voditelja, koji je u nju utkao ljubav i pa\u017enju prema rijeci Krki objediniv\u0161i svoje iskustvo, znanje i spoznaje koje je stekao prou\u010davaju\u0107i Krku\u201c<\/strong>, istaknula je ravnateljica JU \u201eNP Krka\u201c Nella Slavica.<\/p>\n

\u201eBibliografija radova o rijeci Krki\u201c Drage Margu\u0161a bila je prva knjiga tiskana u nakladi Javne ustanove \u201eNacionalni park Krka\u201c. Objavili su je zajedno Gradska knji\u017enica \u201eJuraj \u0160i\u017egori\u0107\u201c \u0160ibenik i tada\u0161nja Uprava NP \u201eKrka\u201c 1994. Od tada je pro\u0161lo dvadeset pet godina, tijekom kojih je JU \u201eNP Krka\u201c izdala pedeset sedam bibliografskih jedinica, a dr. sc. Drago Margu\u0161 autor je dvadeset izdanja.<\/p>\n

\u201eKnjiga ima 223 stranice i podijeljena je u devet poglavlja. U njoj su sadr\u017eani rezultati 33 godine istra\u017eivanja u Nacionalnom parku ‘Krka’. Velika pozornost posve\u0107ena je endemi\u010dnim, za\u0161ti\u0107enim i ugro\u017eenim vrstama. Posebna vrijednost su zadnja dva poglavlja: Izvori i Dodatak, koja sadr\u017ee 243 prirodoslovne reference i 23 tablice s opisom flore i faune koje \u0107e biti od velike koristi svim budu\u0107im istra\u017eiva\u010dima Krke. U knjizi se nalazi 446 fotografija 49 autora, ve\u0107inom znanstvenika i stru\u010dnjaka koji su radili na Krki i profesionalnog fotografa Marija Romuli\u0107a. Zahvaljujem se svima koji su sudjelovali u izradi ove knjige, kolegama prirodoslovcima koji su mi ustupili svoje knjige i na kraju, mom dugogodi\u0161njem suradniku i velikom prijatelju, ravnatelju Gradske knji\u017enice \u201eJuraj \u0160i\u017egori\u0107\u201c Vilijamu Laki\u0107u,\u00a0koji je lektorirao svih dvadeset mojih knjiga i \u0161to smo ih svih dvadeset predstavili u ovom hramu knjige\u201c<\/strong>, kazao je dr. sc. Drago Margu\u0161.<\/p>\n

Knjigu su predstavili dugogodi\u0161nji suradnici Javne ustanove \u201eNacionalni park Krka\u201c dr. sc. Gordan Luka\u010d, stru\u010dni voditelj Javne ustanove \u201eNacionalni park Paklenica\u201c i prof. dr. sc. Vladimir Hr\u0161ak, botani\u010dar, koji ve\u0107 desetlje\u0107ima, s puno ljubavi, istra\u017euju rijeku Krku.<\/p>\n

\u201ePoglavlje o biljnom pokrovu jako dobro ilustrira biljne vrste i zajednice koje obitavaju u Nacionalnom parku \u201eKrka\u201c. Biljnogeografski polo\u017eaj rijeke Krke je vrlo zanimljiv jer se nalazi na granici dvije biljnogeografske pokrajine, submediteranske i mediteranske. Knjiga sadr\u017ei podatke o tipovima vegetacije, pogotovo o sekundarnim tipovima, onima nastalima pod utjecajem \u010dovjeka. Osim popisa vrsta, predstavljena je i analiza flore po razli\u010ditim kriterijima: taksonomski, endemi\u010dne vrste, zakonom za\u0161ti\u0107ene i ugro\u017eene vrste te invazivne (alohtone vrste)\u201c<\/strong>, kazao je prof. dr. sc. Vladimir Hr\u0161ak.<\/p>\n

\u201eU ovoj monografiji popisano je 1 500 \u017eivotinjskih vrsta, \u0161to s biljnima \u010dini gotovo 2 600 vrsta, a to je zaista veliko bogatstvo. Najve\u0107a brojnost i raznolikost je kod beskralje\u017enjaka, me\u0111u kojima su neki kukci jako dobri indikatori kvalitete vodenih ekosustava. Monografija donosi i popisanih 38 vrsta vretenaca, od kojih su neka prikazana iznimnim fotografijama. U Parku \u0107ete naj\u010de\u0161\u0107e zamijetiti danje leptire. Ovdje je prikazana 81 vrsta, primjerice prekrasni uskr\u0161nji leptir ili lastin rep. Zabilje\u017eena je i 331 vrsta kralje\u017enjaka, od toga 22 vrste gmazova i 229 vrsta ptica, me\u0111u kojima su posebno va\u017ene ptice grabljivice poput orla zmijara ili surog orla jer pokazuju o\u010duvanost stani\u0161ta, a prije dvije godine zabilje\u017een je i kr\u0161ki sokol, kriti\u010dno ugro\u017eena vrsta na podru\u010dju cijele Hrvatske. Sisavaca je 45 vrsta, od kojih posebno isti\u010demo divlju ma\u010dku i vidru\u201c<\/strong>, istaknuo je dr. sc. Gordan Luka\u010d, stru\u010dni voditelj Javne ustanove \u201eNacionalni park Paklenica\u201c.<\/p>\n

Knjiga je tiskana u 700 primjeraka na hrvatskom jeziku i 300 primjeraka na engleskom jeziku i mo\u017eete ju prona\u0107i u \u017eupanijskim gradskim knji\u017enicama.<\/p>\n

All this composes the rich natural heritage of the Krka National Park, as described and presented through years of experience, and also much love and attention, by Drago Margu\u0161 PhD, professional manager of the Krka National Park.<\/p>\n

The Krka National Park natural history monograph\u00a0The Krka River: A Gift of Nature<\/em>\u00a0was realized as a part of the project\u00a0The Unknown Krka: hidden treasures of the upper and middle reaches of the Krka River<\/em>, co-financed by the European Structural and Investment Funds. Margu\u0161 offers a detailed insight with numeropus photographs in this monograph into the area of the Krka National Park, which is an indispensable home to thousands of plant and animal species, making it one one of the most valuable habitats in Europe.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Krka National Park is an extremely valuable protected area, and along with protecting the natural features and the rich cultural and historical heritage, it also carries out extensive publishing activities. The books describing the invaluable biodiversity for the first time include a monograph on the natural history of the Krka National Park, the 57th<\/sup>\u00a0edition in our series. The natural history monograph is a magnificent work by the author Drago Margu\u0161, our long term expert manager, who instilled his love and attention for the Krka River into it, combining his experience, knowledge, and the insights he gained while studying the Krka,\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0stated Nella Slavica, Director of the Krka National Park.<\/p>\n

Drago Margu\u0161’s \u201cBibliography of Works about the Krka River\u201d was the first book published by the Krka National Park. It was published jointly by the Juraj \u0160i\u017egori\u0107 City Library in \u0160ibenik and the then Management Board of the Krka National Park in 1994. Twenty-five years have passed since then, during which time the Krka National Park has published fifty-seven bibliographic editions, with Drago Margu\u0161, PhD, as the author of twenty editions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe book has 223 pages and is divided into nine chapters. It contains the results of 33 years of research into the Krka National Park. Great attention is paid to endemic, protected, and endangered species. The last two chapters are of particular importance: Sources and the Appendix, containing 243 natural history references and 23 tables describing the flora and fauna that will be of great benefit to all future Krka River researchers. The book contains 446 photographs by 49 photographers, mostly scientists and experts who worked on the Krka and the professional photographer Mario Romuli\u0107. I would like to thank everyone who participated in the creation of this book, my fellow naturalists who provided me with their books, and finally, my long-time associate and great friend, the director of the Juraj \u0160i\u017egori\u0107 City Library, Vilijam Laki\u0107, who proofread all twenty of my books, and had all twenty of them presented in this temple of books,\u201d noted Drago Margu\u0161, PhD.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The book was presented by long-time associates of the Krka National Park, Gordan Luka\u010d, PhD, expert manager of the Paklenica National Park and Prof. Vladimir Hr\u0161ak, PhD, a botanist who has been exploring the Krka River with great love for decades.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe chapter on the vegetative cover illustrates the plant species and communities that exist in the Krka National Park very well. The vegetative-geographical position of the Krka River is very interesting because it is located on the border of two vegetative-geographical regions, the sub-Mediterranean and the Mediterranean. The book contains information about the types of vegetation, especially secondary types, those created by human influence. In addition to the list of species, an analysis of the flora according to different criteria was also presented: taxonomical, endemic species, protected and endangered species, and invasive (allochthonous species),\u201d said Prof. Vladimir Hr\u0161ak, PhD.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThis monograph lists 1,500 animal species, which makes almost 2,600 species together with the plants, which is really a great feature. The highest abundance and diversity are noted among the invertebrates, including certain insects that are very good indicators of the quality of aquatic ecosystems. The monograph also lists 38 species of dragonflies, some of which are depicted with exceptional photographs. In the Park, you will most often notice diurnal butterflies. Some 81 species are shown here, such as the beautiful Easter butterfly or the Swallow’s Tail. 331 vertebrate species were also recorded, including 22 reptile species and 229 bird species, among which birds of prey such as short-toed snake eagles or golden eagles are particularly important as they show habitat conservation, and two years ago a lanner falcon was documented in the area, a critically endangered species throughout Croatia. There are 45 species of mammals, of which wildcats and otters should be emphasized,\u201d stated Gordan Luka\u010d, PhD, expert manager of the Paklenica National Park.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The book was printed in 700 copies in Croatian and 300 copies in English and can be found in city libraries throughout the county.
