[hr]Vrsta je dobila ime po Nacionalnom parku \u201eKrka\u201c s obzirom da je opisana na osnovi jedinki (mu\u017ejaka i \u017eenki) sakupljenih u sedrenoj \u0161pilji na podru\u010dju Bilu\u0161i\u0107a buka i tipski je lokalitet<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tijekom istra\u017eivanja \u0161piljske faune na podru\u010dju Parka 2015. godine tu su vrstu sakupili \u010dlanovi Hrvatskog biospeleolo\u0161kog dru\u0161tva, a 2023. godine krkin prekobrojac prona\u0111en je i u jami na podru\u010dju Ka\u0161tela \u017degarskog. Iako je pregled materijala pokazao da se radi o novoj vrsti, trebalo je, zbog zahtjevnosti rada na njezinu opisu, pro\u0107i dosta vremena da se taj nalaz objavi.<\/p>\n

Radi se o vrlo sitnom kornja\u0161u gra\u0111enom od tri dijela: glave, grudi s nogama i zatka, dugom svega 1,70 \u2013 1,75 mm, maksimalno \u0161irokom 0,69 mm. Glava mu je otprilike iste duljine i \u0161irine, s dugim antenama. Tijelo mu je sjajno, crvenkastosme\u0111e boje, s tim da antene, maksilarne palpe i noge imaju ne\u0161to svjetliju nijansu. Isto\u010dkano je mrljama i prekriveno kratkim, umjereno gustim, homogenim i le\u017ee\u0107im dlakama zlatne boje. Noge su vitke, blago zadebljanih femura, koji su kod \u017eenki tanji nego kod mu\u017ejaka. \u017denke imaju i manje o\u010di.<\/p>\n

Krkin prekobrojac grabe\u017eljivac je na samom vrhu hranidbene mre\u017ee pa svaki poreme\u0107aj populacija ostalih \u0161piljskih organizama direktno ugro\u017eava i njegov opstanak, \u0161to ga, zbog ograni\u010denog rasprostranjenja, \u010dini vrlo ranjivom \u0161piljskom vrstom.<\/p>\n

\nThe species was named after the Krka National Park, as it was described on the basis of individuals (males and females) collected in a tufa cave in the area of \u200b\u200bBilu\u0161i\u0107a buk, a typical site<\/strong><\/p>\n

During research into cave fauna in the Park area in 2015, this species was collected by members of the Croatian Biospeleological Society, and in 2023, the Krka beetle was also found in a cave in the Ka\u0161tel \u017degarski area. Although a review of the material showed that it was a new species, it took a long time for the find to be published due to the complexity of the work on its description.<\/p>\n

It is a very small beetle made up of three parts: the head, the thorax with legs, and the abdomen, only 1.70 \u2013 1.75 mm long, with a maximum width of 0.69 mm. Its head is about the same length and width, with long antennae. Its body is shiny, reddish-brown in color, with the antennae, maxillary palps, and legs having a slightly lighter shade. It is dotted with spots and covered with short, moderately dense, homogeneous and flat-lying hairs of golden color. The legs are slender, with slightly thickened femurs, which are thinner in females than in males. Females also have smaller eyes.<\/p>\n

The Krka’s beetle predator is at the very top of the feeding network, so any disturbance in the populations of other cave organisms also directly threatens its survival, which, due to its limited distribution, makes it a very vulnerable cave species.<\/p>\n
