[hr]Prvo javno predstavljanje projekta \u201eMosaic of LIFE\u201c odr\u017eat \u0107e se u Eko kampusu \u201eKrka\u201c<\/strong>\u00a0u Puljanima u utorak, 28. listopada 2025. godine, s po\u010detkom u 10:00 sati<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mozai\u010dni mediteranski krajolik nastajao je tisu\u0107ljetnim prisustvom ljudi i njihovog blaga na kr\u0161kom podru\u010dju. Splet je to kulturnog naslje\u0111a i podru\u010dja iznimno bogate biolo\u0161ke raznolikosti koju sve vi\u0161e ugro\u017eava upravo smanjenje obujma tradicionalne poljoprivrede i sto\u010darstva te posljedi\u010dno zarastanje travnjaka i poljoprivrednih povr\u0161ina.<\/p>\n

Upravo ovom jedinstvenom prirodnom i kulturnom naslje\u0111u posve\u0107en je petogodi\u0161nji projekt \u201e<\/strong>Mosaic of LIFE\u201c<\/strong>, koji je pokrenula Udruga Biom zajedno s partnerima. Idu\u0107ih pet godina projekt Mosaic of LIFE provest \u0107e aktivnosti obnove na najmanje 560 hektara travnjaka te pobolj\u0161ati upravljanje na dodatnih 1 020 hektara. Obnova stani\u0161ta uklju\u010duje mehani\u010dko uklanjanje drvenaste vegetacije, kontrolirano paljenje pod stru\u010dnim nadzorom, te najva\u017enije, promicanje tradicionalnih praksi ispa\u0161e. Upravo je blago to koje je stolje\u0107ima paslo, stvorilo i odr\u017eavalo ovaj jedinstveni krajolik.<\/p>\n

U uvodnom dijelu predvi\u0111ene su pozdravne rije\u010di organizatora i partnera, a potom i detaljno predstavljanje projekta s naglaskom na planirane aktivnosti i o\u010dekivane rezultate. Sredi\u0161nji dio doga\u0111anja biti \u0107e panel diskusija s partnerima projekta, tijekom koje \u0107e sudionici mo\u0107i razmijeniti iskustva te razgovarati o mogu\u0107nostima suradnje i primjene projektnih rezultata u praksi. Doga\u0111anje \u0107e zavr\u0161iti zakuskom i neformalnim dru\u017eenjem u prostoru Eko kampusa\u00a0\u201eKrka\u201c.<\/p>\n

Doga\u0111anje je namijenjeno predstavnicima lokalne zajednice, institucija, poljoprivrednicima, znanstvenicima te svima zainteresiranima za teme o\u010duvanja prirode i odr\u017eivog razvoja.<\/p>\n

Projekt “Mosaic of LIFE” vrijedan je 4.850.315,57 \u20ac i sufinanciran je sredstvima LIFE Programa Europske unije, Ureda za udruge Vlade Republike Hrvatske i Fonda za za\u0161titu okoli\u0161a i energetsku u\u010dinkovitost. Projekt provode Udruga Biom (nositelj projekta), Ekolo\u0161ka udruga \u201eKrka\u201c Knin, Sveu\u010dili\u0161te u Zagrebu Agronomski fakultet, Javna ustanova \u201eNacionalni park Krka\u201c, Vatrogasna zajednica Splitsko-dalmatinske \u017eupanije, dok su pridru\u017eeni partneri Ministarstvo za\u0161tite okoli\u0161a i zelene tranzicije \u2013 Zavod za za\u0161titu okoli\u0161a i prirode, Ministarstvo poljoprivrede, \u0161umarstva i ribarstva, JU More i kr\u0161 te JU Priroda \u0160ibensko-kninske \u017eupanije.<\/p>\n

\nPresentation of the project \u201cMosaic of LIFE\u201d<\/strong>
\nThe first public presentation of the project \u201cMosaic of LIFE\u201d will be held at the Krka Eco Campus in Puljane on Tuesday, 28 October 2025, starting at 10 am<\/strong><\/p>\n

The mosaic of Mediterranean landscapes was formed over a millennium of the presence of people and their livestock in this karst area. This is an intertwining of the cultural heritage and an area exceptionally rich in biological diversity, which is becoming increasingly threatened by reductions in traditional agriculture and animal husbandry, and the consequent overgrowth of grasslands and agricultural land.<\/p>\n

It is this unique natural and cultural heritage that is the focus of the five-year project entitled \u201cMosaic of LIFE\u201d, launched by the Biom Society and partners. Over the next five years, restoration activities will be conducted on at least 560 hectares of grasslands, with improved management on an additional 1020 hectares. Habitat restoration includes the mechanical removal of woody vegetation, controlled and supervised burning, and most importantly, promotion of traditional grazing practices. The livestock that has grazed here for centuries are most responsible for creating and maintaining this unique landscape.<\/p>\n

The introductory part of the presentation includes words of welcome from the organisers and partners, with a detailed presentation of the project, focusing on planned activities and expected results. This will be followed by a panel discussion with project partners, during which participants can exchange experiences and discuss opportunities for cooperation and the application of project results in practice. The presentation will conclude with a reception at the Krka Eco Campus.<\/p>\n

The presentation is intended for representatives of the local community, institutions, farmers, scientists, and everyone interested in topics of natural conservation and sustainable development.<\/p>\n

The project “Mosaic of LIFE” is valued at EUR 4,850,315.57 and is cofinanced by the LIFE Programme of the European Union, Office for Associations of the Government of the Republic of Croatia, and the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund. The project is led by the Biom Society (project leader); Krka Ecological Society in Knin; University of Zagreb, Faculty of Agriculture; Public Institute of Krka National Park; and the Fire-fighting Association of Split-Dalmatia County, while partners are the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Green Transition, Department for Environmental Protection and Nature; Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; Public Institution More i kr\u0161, and the Public Institute Priroda of \u0160ibenik-Knin County.<\/p>\n
