Festival je odr\u017ean u Eko kampusu \u201eKrka\u201c u \u010detvrtak, 22. svibnja, na Dan za\u0161tite prirode u Hrvatskoj i Me\u0111unarodni dan bioraznolikosti, koji se ove godine odr\u017eava pod sloganom \u201eSklad s prirodom i odr\u017eivi razvoj\u201c.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Festival je, u sklopu\u00a0FarmBioNet projekta, organizirao\u00a0Ekolo\u0161ki institut ECOLOGICA\u00a0iz Zagreba u suradnji s\u00a0Javnom ustanovom \u201eNacionalni park Krka\u201c, udrugom \/ nevladinom organizacijom BIOM iz Zagreba i Brodskim ekolo\u0161kim dru\u0161tvom iz Slavonskog Broda.<\/p>\n

\u201eFarmBioNet\u00a0projekt provodi se u dvanaest europskih zemalja u cilju identifikacije, poticanja i pobolj\u0161anja poljoprivrednih praksi koje podr\u017eavaju bioraznolikost, kroz integraciju istra\u017eiva\u010dkih rezultata i razmjenu znanja izme\u0111u poljoprivrednika, savjetodavaca, istra\u017eiva\u010da i drugih klju\u010dnih dionika<\/strong>\u201c, kazala je Sonja Karoglan Todorovi\u0107, direktorica Ekolo\u0161kog instituta ECOLOGICA i voditeljica FarmBioNet projekta, i nastavila: \u201eVjerujem da nas je dana\u0161nja razmjena znanja i iskustva nadahnula i potaknula na aktivniji anga\u017eman te da je ovo tek prvi od mnogih budu\u0107ih festivala bioraznolikosti u poljoprivredi<\/strong>.\u201c<\/p>\n

Ciljevi Festivala bioraznolikosti u poljoprivredi jesu podizanje svijesti o va\u017enosti bioraznolikosti na poljoprivrednim povr\u0161inama za zdravlje ekosustava, sigurnost hrane i otpornost na klimatske promjene, edukacija o poljoprivrednim praksama koje podr\u017eavaju bioraznolikost i informiranje o njima, te povezivanje i umre\u017eavanje poljoprivrednika, stru\u010dnjaka i \u010dlanova lokalnih zajednica radi poticanja zajedni\u010dkog djelovanja.<\/p>\n

\u201eNacionalni park ‘Krka’ ve\u0107 dugi niz godina njeguje kontinuiranu i aktivnu suradnju s lokalnom zajednicom, posebno s poljoprivrednicima. Edukativnim pristupom nastojimo doprinijeti o\u010duvanju autohtonih vrsta promicanjem odr\u017eivih tehnika uzgoja<\/strong>\u201c, kazala je ravnateljica Javne ustanove \u201eNacionalni park Krka\u201c Nella Slavica i naglasila: \u201eKao ustanovi koja ve\u0107 \u010detiri desetlje\u0107a uspje\u0161no brine o bioraznolikosti i o\u010duvanju prirodnih vrijednosti Nacionalnog parka ‘Krka’, izuzetno nam je va\u017eno na stru\u010dnoj i znanstvenoj razini razmijeniti znanja o izazovima s kojima se danas susre\u0107emo u za\u0161titi bioraznolikosti<\/strong>.\u201c<\/p>\n

Uz zanimljiva predavanja o va\u017enosti bioraznolikosti za poljoprivredu, o postoje\u0107im pla\u0107anjima za provo\u0111enje mjera za\u0161tite bioraznolikosti u poljoprivredi i o va\u017enosti opra\u0161iva\u010da, sudionici Festivala u\u017eivali su u izlo\u017ebi opra\u0161iva\u010da i kratkim tematskim filmovima.<\/p>\n

Na\u00a0Festivalu su sudjelovali poljoprivredni proizvo\u0111a\u010di i savjetodavci, predstavnici nadle\u017enog ministarstva i javnih ustanova za upravljanje za\u0161ti\u0107enim podru\u010djima prirode, znanstvenici, predstavnici nevladinih udruga i zainteresirana javnost.<\/p>\n

\nThe first Biodiversity Festival in agriculture: an opportunity to connect and learn<\/strong>
\nThe festival was held at the Krka Eko Campus on Thursday, May 22, on Nature Protection Day in Croatia and International Biodiversity Day, which this year was held under the slogan “In Harmony with Nature and Sustainable Development”<\/strong><\/p>\n

The festival was organized, as part of the FarmBioNet project, by the Ecological Institute ECOLOGICA from Zagreb in cooperation with the Krka National Park, the association\/non-governmental organization BIOM from Zagreb, and the Brod\/Boat Ecological Society from Slavonski Brod.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe FarmBioNet project is being implemented in twelve European countries with the aim of identifying, encouraging, and improving agricultural practices that support biodiversity, through the integration of research results and the exchange of knowledge between farmers, advisors, researchers, and other key stakeholders<\/strong>,\u201d said Sonja Karoglan Todorovi\u0107, Director of the Ecological Institute ECOLOGICA and leader of the FarmBioNet project, who continued: \u201cI believe that today’s exchange of knowledge and experience has inspired and encouraged us to be more active and that this is just the first of many future biodiversity festivals in agriculture<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The goals of the Biodiversity in Agriculture Festival are to raise awareness of the importance of biodiversity on agricultural land for ecosystem health, food security, and climate change resilience, to educate and inform about agricultural practices that support biodiversity, and to connect and extend a network farmers, experts, and members of local communities to encourage joint action.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor many years, the Krka National Park has been fostering continuous and active cooperation with the local community, especially with farmers. With an educational approach, we strive to contribute to the preservation of indigenous species by promoting sustainable farming techniques<\/strong>,\u201d said the director of the Krka National Park, Nella Slavica, and emphasized: \u201cAs an institution that has been successfully caring for biodiversity and preserving the natural features \u200b\u200bof the Krka National Park for four decades, it is extremely important for us to exchange knowledge at a professional and scientific level about the challenges we face today in protecting biodiversity<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to interesting lectures on the importance of biodiversity for agriculture, about existing payments for implementing biodiversity protection measures in agriculture, and on the importance of pollinators, the Festival participants enjoyed an exhibition of pollinators and short thematic films.<\/p>\n

The Festival was attended by agricultural producers and advisors, representatives of the relevant ministry and public institutions for the management of protected areas, scientists, representatives of non-governmental organizations, and members of the interested public.<\/p>\n
