{"id":191,"date":"2022-06-15T10:18:08","date_gmt":"2022-06-15T08:18:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.npkrka.hr\/?page_id=191"},"modified":"2022-09-27T13:22:08","modified_gmt":"2022-09-27T11:22:08","slug":"industrijska-bastina","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/npkrka.hr\/en_us\/kulturna-bastina\/industrijska-bastina\/","title":{"rendered":"The industrial heritage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>At the end of the 19th century, the water power of the Krka began to be utilized for the first industrial facilities \u2013 hydroelectric power plants that today represent exceptionally valuable monuments of industrial architecture. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Four hydroelectric power plants were built along the Krka River from 1895 to 1911: HPP Krka (1895) and HPP Jaruga (1904) at Skradinski buk waterfall, the HPP Ro\u0161ki slap at Ro\u0161ki slap waterfall (1911), and HPP Miljacka (1907) at the Miljacka waterfall. It was planned to build another two hydroelectric plants that were never constructed (at Skradinski buk and Bilu\u0161i\u0107a buk). Three of the four hydroelectric plants still produce electrical energy today, and are a part of the unified electrification system of the Republic of Croatia.<\/p>\n<p>HPP Krka is no longer in function today, and only remnants are preserved of the former architecture. It has been systematically investigated, and conservation work has been carried out for its partial reconstruction.
