Such a choice not only contributes to the preservation of nature, but also to our health and the quality of our experience of the area in question.

In the Krka National Park, visitors have numerous opportunities for sustainable movement. The park has as many as 47 km of hiking trails and 388 km of cycling routes, which pass through diverse landscapes, from river canyons and waterfalls to traditional villages and viewpoints. These routes allow visitors to experience nature at a slower pace and with minimal impact on the environment. Detailed information about the hiking trails is available on the Krka Hike website, and about cycling routes on Krka Bike.

Walking – the most natural way to explore

Walking is the simplest and most environmentally friendly way to get around: it does not produce greenhouse gas emissions, does not create noise, and does not burden the environment, while at the same time it has numerous health benefits: it strengthens the heart and muscles, improves fitness, and helps reduce stress.

When used as a substitute for driving, walking directly contributes to reducing carbon dioxide emissions. In natural areas such as the Krka National Park, it also allows for a fuller experience of the area – more time to observe the landscape, plants and wildlife.

Cycling – sustainable mobility in nature

Cycling is one of the best ways to explore the Park, with little impact on the environment: cycling does not create direct CO₂ emissions, takes up little space, and allows for faster movement than walking, while providing equally close contact with nature.

Electric bicycles are also available to visitors in the Park, which consume very little energy compared to cars or other motor vehicles. Electric bicycles:

significantly reduce carbon dioxide emissions compared to an auto

consume much less energy than electric cars

contribute to reducing traffic jams and noise

do not directly pollute the air.

Electric bicycles can be rented in the Krka National Park at the Krka Eco Campus in Puljane, so visitors can explore cycling routes without the need for their own equipment.

A sustainable visit starts before you arrive at the Park: consider using public transport, carpooling, or arriving by electric vehicle. During your stay, you can further reduce your environmental impact by using reusable water bottles, reducing your use of plastic items, and choosing activities that respect the state of nature.

By choosing to walk or ride a bicycle or an electric bicycle, you not only reduce your own carbon footprint, but also can experience Krka National Park in a way that is closer to nature.

A visit to nature gives us the opportunity to slow down, breathe in the fresh air, and connect with the environment around us

["post-14796","page","type-page","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
